location

Have you ever wanted to be kissed by a wild sea lion? How about nudge up against dolphins in crystal clear waters? Blue lagoons, pristine white sands, and sea life of every shape and kind – this escape is for all our wannabe mermaids. This awescape is an eco-conscious, minimal footprint expedition into the Eyre peninsula. We will be sleeping under the stars, by campfire some nights (and in close proximity to wild koalas!), while others will be in beachside accommodation. Each day of this unforgettable escape will introduce you to a new facet of the South Australian coastline. There will be yoga on private islands, meditative walks along secluded beaches, and an expedition to the bubble-gum pink salt plains. Pack up your sea legs and don your fins, this is a trip we promise you won’t want to miss!

We’ll be mixing it up each night, sleeping under the stars for some, and staying in beachside accommodation for others. For the nights when we’re camping, we’ll be sleeping true aussie style, snuggling up in cozy swags. Each campsite has been chosen for its proximity to local sites and stunning natural surrounds. Whilst we’ll be roughing it a little, each campsite is fitted with hot showers and shared toilets.

faq’s

Where should I book my flights to?

Our tour bus will pick you up from Adelaide airport.

What is the bathroom situation?

We’ll be staying at a few different campsites, all of which have shared toilets and hot showers.

What should I bring?

Bring everything you’ll need for a five-day camping adventure, keeping in mind that we’ll be hiking, swimming, and camping. Please note that luggage should be restricted to 15kg in a soft bag or backpack plus a day pack (your rolly bag is no match for the rocky trails of the Eyre Peninsula).

  • Hat.

  • Water bottle, which we can refill for you.

  • Sunscreen and insect repellant.

  • Swimmers and towel.

  • Rainproof jacket.

  • Walking shoes or boots

  • Sleeping bag.

  • Light, breathable clothing is recommended for daytime trekking. It can still get quite chilly at night this time of year (temperatures can drop below 10ºC), so bring some warmer layers too.

What do the days look like?

There are inspiring early starts followed by lots of activities and walks. You’ll need a good level of fitness. We’ll be travelling a fair amount of distance each day, spending three to four hours in an air-conditioned minivan. We’ll all be getting to know one another and telling great stories, but if you’d rather nap or listen to music, this is your chance!

Can I come solo or with friend or a partner?

Both! solo travellers will immediately connect with the group through the many activities we’ll be doing together, and friends will likewise have a great time connecting with the group. if you're coming with a friend, and want to be roomed together, let us know in the rooming configuration box at purchase. if you're coming with a partner (or someone you're close enough to share a double bed with), let us know at time of booking and we will contact you with further details.

Will I have downtime?

While we do have lots of things planned, there will be time to chill and read a book or go for long country walks. The activities are of course optional, so if you feel you want to sit one out, just let us know! There will be times when we’ll be in the minibus for several hours, giving you plenty of time for deep thinking or to settle down with a good book.

How will we support local communities?

A portion of profits will support First Nations children charity Children's Ground. Read more about their work and how we support them on our journal.
