a trip to the land of the rising sun is just what the doctor ordered for our post-covid travel plans. A fascinating alchemy of old and new, japan uniquely marries the storied quiet of its ancient past with the dizzying roar of its high-tech cities. we’ll be wandering the streets of old-world tokyo, slurping ramen in one of tokyo’s back alleys, and sweating it out in one of the country’s many bathhouses at the foot of Mt. fuji.

australians are no stranger to bali, one of our closest island destinations. whether you’re a yogi, adventure junkie, or food-lover, there’s a little bit of everything on offer in one of indonesia’s most-loved islands. and yes, there’s more to bali than the tourist-filled kuta and tanah-lot. Read our guide to amankila, a tropical sanctuary in the island’s east.

canada

over the past year, many have remarked upon how covid has fuelled a desire amongst us all to get back to nature. canada, with vast, virtually untouched lakes, parks, and mountain ranges, is the perfect place to do this. At the top of our list? camping in Gwaii Haanas National Park, chasing the northern lights in yellowknife, and a trip to the incredible hubbard glacier.

hong kong

hong kong’s high octane tempo is the perfect antidote to the slow burn of covid life. shaped by a complex asian and colonial history, the city is a melting pot of food, culture, and art to lose yourself in. come sundown, the city’s world-class nightlife is the perfect way to scratch that itch for luxury and excess built up during a year of sweatpants and netflix.
