located in southern africa, namibia borders botswana, zambia and zimbabwe and is surrounded by the atlantic ocean in the west.as you journey on a guided safari through namibia, there are several accommodations that you will be staying at. the first and last day you will be staying at am weinberg boutique hotel located in the namibia’s capital city of windhoek. on the second, third and fourth day you will be sleeping at dead valley lodge which is located inside the namib-naukluft national park. on days five and six, the okaukuejo resort within etosha national park will be where you are based. day seven you will be checked into the mushara lodge, the ideal stop for travellers wanting to visit the game reserve, followed by day eight where you will be staying at erindi game reserve.

what if Covid affects the trip?
we will be watching the international border and health situation very closely. rest assured that if COVID impacts the majority of travellers we will postpone to a later date.
how to get there?
you will be arriving at windhoek’s hosea kutako international airport which is 30 minutes from your first accommodation stop in the namibian capital. there is an airport shuttle service offered by the am weinberg boutique that you can book for convenience.
what is the accommodation like?
the am weinberg boutique hotel is a luxury accommodation which consists of four accommodation types ranging from upper-level rooms with panoramic views or spacious luxury lofts. the hotel features three lounge spaces, including the sky lounge, two top-class restaurants, a delicatessen and a spa.
the dead valley lodge accommodation offers free-standing luxury tented chalets equipped with bathrooms, kitchenette, private patios, double beds and are even climate controlled. the lodge also offers a top-class restaurant and bar, swimming pool overlooking the elim dune and wifi.
the okaukuejo resort facilities include bush chalets and double rooms overlooking the waterhole that draws many wild animals to it at night. the facilities available also include a restaurant and bar, swimming pool, shops and a kiosk.
the mushara lodge in eastern etosha consists of a diverse range of accommodation including spacious chalets and individual rooms equipped with mosquito nets, air-conditioning, sockets, bathroom and wifi. the lodge also includes a small library, lounge with a fireplace, dining area, a bar with an extensive wine cellar and a souvenir shop.
the erindi private game reserve is a 70,700 hectare protected nature reserve that offers luxurious suites furnished in a classic safari style. this five star resort includes a swimming pool, viewing platform, guided bush walks and additional safari-styled activities.
do I need a visa?
to enter namibia it is essential that your passport should be valid for at least six months from your entry date.
some nationals are automatically granted tourist visas upon entry into namibia, however if you are from: bulgaria, croatia, cyprus, czech republic, estonia, greece, hungary, latvia, lithuania, malta, poland, romania, slovakia and slovenia you must require a visa. if you are uncertain or confused, you can verify critical information with the relevant embassy before you travel.
what will the weather be like?
with the best time to visit namibia between july and september, we will be travelling during august. expect temperatures around 20 degrees and a low chance of rain as it is the driest month of the year. however temperatures can cool down in the evenings.
what should i pack?
we will be doing some hiking and spending time in the sun so please bring comfortable shoes, reusable water bottle and a wide-brimmed hat. bring light, breathable clothing for the day but also some warmer layers for night time. otherwise, be sure to bring everything you’ll need for a ten-day adventure in the desert. of course do not forget your photography equipment!
do i need have experience in photography?
this trip is open to all levels, and beginners to advanced will benefit from the training. please bring your own photography equipment though!
what will our days look like?
there will be a local guide and driver throughout the whole safari who will ensure you get to visit both the most renowned and/or locally favourite spots across the namibian desert. while our days are pretty packed there will be some downtime where you can explore yourself or stay in and relax.
