Every day of this trip you’ll experience a new and stunning vista - whether it's the monolith itself, red gorges and canyons, waterhole oases with sand, or the spectacular neon Field of Lights. You will be enthralled by the vastness and transient rock textures. We’ll be waking every morning for sunrise and capturing every spectacular sunset, when the light will create photos the likes of which you often see on Hayley and Kyle’s feed. And they’ll be an open book, as you learn their style and secrets through observation and osmosis. We are visiting their favourite locations from a trip, including the iconic Kangaroo Sanctuary. The trip also includes The Field of Lights which is 50,000 luminescent, futuristic dandelions with colours ranging from white to ochre to purple and lime - all the shades that you see in Australia’s outback. It gives the stars a run for their money, and that’s a hard conquest to achieve.

First Nations Australians believe that Uluru and Kata Tjuta is the centre of the Dreaming. Imagine it like the nucleus that radiates songlines across Australia. The creases and crinkles of the rocks are a library of cultural knowledge. There are 36 honeycomb domes at Kata Tjuta dated at 500 million years old. You’ve seen it in photos, you’ll feel like you know it, but you’ll see it in an entirely different way with your hosts Kyle Hunter and Hayley Anderson. They know the places that showcase Uluru and Kings Canyon, and we’re going there. You will learn the best angles and ways to capture the experience. We are experiencing all the wow within 4 days, over a weekend, so you can come home with some epic photos, new friends, stories to tell and a smile that only nature and the outback can bring.

Hello from us (Hayley & Kyle). Over the past year our lives have changed dramatically facing this pandemic, which I'm sure we can all relate to, and it pains us to say we hadn't spent much of our time exploring our beautiful country Australia. It took a global pandemic for us to finally see how lucky we are here, and how incredibly beautiful and special our home is.

We have now travelled to all corners of this country and can safely say we are truly truly blessed. Yes, we can't travel around the world like we used to, but we have Australia, and we want to encourage everyone to spend their free time exploring and connecting in their own backyard.

This is why we have decided to create a group trip in one of Australia's most magical places! A place we hold very dear to our hearts. So let's get together as a team, pack our bags and go on an exciting adventure to Uluru; the heart and soul of Australia.

This 4 day trip will include sight seeing at our favourite locations, and an opportunity to shoot the beautiful landscapes with us. You don't have to be into photography (like us) to join, but if you want to bring your camera along we strongly encourage you to do so, so we can create magic together. Can't wait to have you on board!

All campsite locations are chosen for their epic location and proximity to the national park. They are canvas tents on a deck with proper beds and linen, electricity, as well as cool fans. They are simple and basic, and build a great sense of camaraderie in the group. You will be sharing with a new best friend or a buddy you bring along! 

 We won’t be spending much time at the campsites, aside from before bed, as we wake every mornings before sunrise. Trust us, even the biggest sleeper won’t want to miss the sunrises here!

When should I book my flights?

Please wait for an order confirmation email before booking flights. You will receive it within 24 hours.

What if COVID affects the trip?

We will be watching the border and health situation very closely. Rest assured that if COVID impacts the majority of travellers we will postpone to a later date. If that isn’t feasible, we will offer partial refunds (the deposit is non-refundable).

Where should I fly into/out of?

 You have two options for arrival: the transfer will depart Alice Springs (airport code ASP) at 7am Saturday, 29 May in the morning; alternatively we can pick you up from Uluru (airport code AYQ) at midday. Day 4, on Sunday, will end at Alice Springs, so it’s prudent to fly out of Alice.

Please note, Day 4 ends at 7pm at the Kangaroo Sanctuary. You will be dropped off back in Alice Springs and you can either stay overnight at your own personal arrangement or fly home. We really packed in the experiences on this trip, and we didn’t want you to miss the sanctuary.

What is the style of trip?

This will be a true red centre experience. We are lucky enough to have private campsites on the bright red sands of the desert, where we will sleep and eat under the stars.

We will be roughing it a little to make sure you get out of your comfort zone and embrace the true spirit of the outback, with campfire meals, and sleeping in permanent tented accommodation. There’s a bed and mattress and linen and hot showers, never fear, but it might be a little out of your comfort zone compared to a hotel - but that’s half the fun, we say! 

 What is the bathroom situation?

There are hot showers and toilets at every campsite. These are shared facilities. 

What is the accommodation like?

What do the days look like?

There are inspiring early starts followed frequently by activity and walks. You’ll need a good level of fitness. Around lunch, at the hottest part of the day, we tend to drive in air conditioned comfort to our next stunning location. We’ll all be getting to know one another and telling great stories, but if you’d rather nap or listen to music, this is your chance!

How will we support local communities?

A portion of profits will support First Nations children charity Children's Ground.

Do I need camera equipment?

If you have it, great! Photography lovers should bring their camera and lenses and tripods! However, if you are a newbie, your iPhone will do the job, and you’ll learn a lot.
